On behalf of our client, a leading global company within finance, we are looking for a Solution Architect/Engineer Java. For this contract position based in Bellinzona in Switzerland our client is looking for an English speaking candidate who can start as soon as possible. Your main responsibilities will be:

- Analyzes functional and non-functional requirements in order to design a suitable application architecture
- Considers alternative solutions between the architectural boundaries of overall architecture and domain architecture
- Ensures that the solution fits the existing application landscape in agreement with the corresponding functional architect and central architecture team
- Takes full responsibility for the production and maintenance of the Software Architecture Document (SAD).
- Designs solutions
- Defines and conducts reviews of relevant artifacts including code

The skills and experience needed for this position are:

- 8+ years working experience in IT in the solution development area
- 4+ years working as Solution Architect
- Experience in the design and implementation of multi-tier application platforms
- Good knowledge of Java and JavaEE
- In depth knowledge of multi-layered architectures, design patterns, architecture patterns, integration solutions
- Experience in development, roll-out and maintenance of complex applications
- Experience in Credit Domain of Banking Industry is a plus
- Fluent written and spoken English
