Solution Architect - IPTV/Digital TV/DTV

Urgent requirement for a Solution Architect to join a busy team in Amsterdam.

The Role:
*Define the architecture for new services in the Digital TV domain.
*Review the product/marketing requirements to ensure that they are detailed and unambiguous to move from architectural to design phase.
*Participate during design, development and integration phases to ensure that delivered system adheres to the architecture and design.
*Validate that there is proper alignment between the product requirements and the developed solutions.
*Manage architecture and design deliverables in JIRA.
*Design documentation for new services and systems.
*Weekly progress reports on design/development status per system release

Skill requirements
*5 years+ experience in a systems engineering role (design or development) in a DTV/IPTV/Digital TV environment.
*UML experience
*Working knowledge of: Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and ESB; XML, Web 2.0 and Web Services Technologies; IP Networking; Unix/Linux
*Must have excellent interpersonal skills, to maintain and develop effective working relationships with other peers and stakeholders
*Must have excellent problem solving skills and attention for detail
*Must be proactive, with a desire to continuously improve system solutions, documentation and process & procedures
