Solution Architect / Data Architect

Solutions Architect / Data Architect will work in a Solutions Design Architect role and be part of CIO Solution Architecture team.
As Solutions Architect / Data Design Architect he/she will be responsible for
• Developing and documenting Architecture solutions as needed to solve a specific business project problem or larger enterprise problem while identifying implications (risks) of proposed and alternate options.
o Providing and documenting Impact assessment, low level functional specs, create high level design documents to create the system and work with product business owner, development team to carry out the design.
o Developing business justification for proposed Architecture including cost benefit analysis and return on investment.

• Participate and lead project design sessions to develop end to end solutions for complex business problems.. Interpreting internal or external business issues and recommend best practices.
• Ensure that delivery of projects is in alignment with enterprise technology direction, road map, business strategy, and effective total cost of ownership.
• Communicating the value of and the specific content of the defined architecture.

They are the largest cable television operator in the Netherlands. They offers video, broadband internet, and fixed-line telephony (VoIP) to 9.8 million service subscribers (RGUs) represented by 4.1 million customers as of September 30, 2015. It also offers mobile voice and data services.

The customers are located across several regional areas in the Netherlands, including the major cities of Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, Utrecht, Maastricht, Groningen and Tilburg. All of its networks are upgraded to two-way capability, and all of its cable homes are served by a network with a bandwidth of at least 860 MHz.

Solutions Architect / Data Architect - Basic Requirements:
• Solution Architect must have minimum 8-10 years of experience designing and implementing complex architecture solution in BI, Big Data, Analytics, Data and Information Architecture, Data Integration, Master Data Management, Analytics, Data Warehousing, ETL. Prior Telecommunication domain experience with knowledge of CRM, Billing, Provisioning customer facing data, Telco products and Knowledge of TM Forum Frameworx (SID, eTOM, TAM)
• Extensive experience in the following aspects of Enterprise Information Management: Data Governance, Master Data Management, Metadata Management, Data Archiving, Data Retention, Enterprise Data Models (Common Data Model), Data Warehousing, Big Data, Business Intelligence (Reporting to Advanced Analytics) and Service Oriented Architecture.
• A solid understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance issues affecting clients related to privacy and data protection, such as GLBA, Basel II, EU Data Protection Directive, International Cross Border & EU Data Privacy Laws
• Experience developing data protection strategies, architectures, and implementation plans
• Data Solution Architect should have Strong ability to drive complex technical solutions which may include both legacy and converging technology use at an enterprise level and business process change through education and partnership with stakeholders
• Negotiate, resolve, and prioritize complex issues and provide explanations and information to others on difficult issues
• Estimate and organize own work to meet or negotiate deadlines - lead / facilitate the creation of estimates
• Proactively develop an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the solution domain to implement the most current and relevant solutions.
• Drive adherence to IT strategy and IT standards in design processes for internal and external services, integrated hosted solutions, and hardware/software vendors.
• Solution Architect should be a Self-starter who can work with minimal guidance but strong communication and excellent presentation skills.
• Excellent proven experience in preparing presentations (e.g., PowerPoint) and white papers on data architecture and data management-related topics and issues.

Required Skills:
• Experience with Data Warehouse, DataMart (Architecture and Design)
• Hands on experience leading architectural design of large scale Big Data Solution
• Architecture Experience - Reporting, Dashboard, Analytics
• Basic Experience with BI and analytic tools such as Hyperion, OBI EE,
• Data Governance, MDM,
• Experience with SOA Architecture,

• Experience and understanding of Data Discovery platform and Hadoop eco-system components meanly Oracle technology: BDA Environment(Cloudera Hadoop, Hive, Flume, Pig, MapReduce, Exadata, Exalogic, SQL, NoSQL….
• Basic Experience with ETL technology transformation as Power Designer Informatica
• Understanding of industry patterns for application architecture and integration tools as Oracle OFF, or Tibco
• Experience with at least one high level programming language is an advantage but not required in the daily job (e.g. Java, C++, PLSQL…etc.)
• Data and Object Modeling (UML) by using different type of tools (EA, Erwin, Power Designer…
• MS Visio, Power Point,
• Solid knowledge of information, software and technology infrastructure management
• Working knowledge of UML (Class, Use Cases Sequence Diagrams etc.)
