Solution Architect - CBD Based - ASAP Start (S17)

The SOLUTION ARCHITECT will provide professional technical advice in the development and design of ICT solution concepts for diverse business requirements.

Designing implementable solutions for major ICT development and upgrade projects and investigating the impact of design changes across various systems.

This position is CBD based for an initial 5 month contract due to start late April/early May 2013.

The Solution Architect will be responsible for:
Driving all architecture aspects of the solution development effort to ensure fulfillment of outcomes with constraints including time, cost, technology, external projects, business expectations and in accordance with the ICT and business area directions, plans and governance.

Essential skills and experience required for this position include;
* Demonstrable and comprehensive experience of 5-8 years in contemporary business analysis techniques and tools used on at least 2 major complex ICT projects
* Demonstrable and comprehensive experience in stakeholder management involving stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
* Demonstrable and comprehensive knowledge of full system development life cycle, its typical phases, the deliverables within the phases and the Business Analysts role within the phases
* Technical knowledge of programming, system design, ICT infrastructure and database concepts.
* Understanding of process improvement methodologies, related concepts, and frameworks. Outstanding ability to analyse, isolate and interpret business needs and develop appropriate requirements specifications.
* Very high level of liaison, communication (oral and written), negotiation, consultation, conflict resolution, change management, documentation and report writing skills
*  Comprehensive knowledge of process improvement methodologies, process modelling and workflow automation.
* Degree qualifications in a computing science, information technology, business or commerce discipline. Post-graduate qualifications preferred.
* Experience in developing solutions within finance and accounting environments.
* Extensive knowledge of middle tier application architecture to support business processing, Enterprise Content Management, Enterprise Integration and web services.
