SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT

LOCATION: Amsterdam/Netherlands

DAILY RATE: 550-570 EURO's

START DATE: Immediate

6 MONTH CONTRACT WITH EXTENSIONS

Currently looking for an solution architect to join one the worlds largest telecom companies.

SUMMARY:

- Responsible for defining, designing and documenting Infrastructure Solution Designs within Data Center Technologies that meet program/project scope business requirements and that are aligned with Liberty Global Enterprise Architecture and IT product, technology and infrastructure roadmaps. Act as lead designer for national and international projects and programs and ensure the overall efficiency, scalability, reliability, interoperability, flexibility, modularity, security and robustness of Infrastructure Solution Designs.
- Participate in Detailed Planning Workshops and progress meetings, combining the business requirements, Business Solution Architecture and Connectivity Matrix into a solid Infrastructure Solution Design, collaborating with Solution/Network Architects and Engineering to provide an integrated design.
- Ensure that the infrastructure solution is compliant and aligned to Enterprise Architecture blueprints and product, technology and infrastructure roadmaps. Direct a design change control to ensure that all changes are considered in relation to the end-to-end design baseline. Ensure that the solution is aligned to defined scope but also positioned for future requirements.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

- Bachelor's Degree in IT or other technical studies; at least five years' experience in similar role in solution/infrastructure architecture including cloud solutions.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

- Experience and/or certification of Infrastructure Solution Designs,
- Extended knowledge of and/or certification in Enterprise Architecture methodology and Cloud solutions,
- Ideally in a media (telecom/broadcast) environment.
- Analytic, communication and presentation skills, stakeholder, vendor, and relationship management and the ability to understand and analyse business needs and bridge the gap between business and IT.
- Linux and windows knowledge
- Security background is a plus but not needed
- Fluent English
- DC environment knowledge
- Knowledge of the infrastructure environment
