Solution Architect

We are looking for a Solution Architect to

- Work within a defined methodology to guide local terminal stakeholders and resources through.
- Revie, interpret and respond to detailed business requirements specifications (BRS) to ensure alignment between stakeholder expectations and current or future ICT capability.
- Provide input to the strategic direction of technology architecture and maximize efficiencies and investment return on the technology investment.
- Within the agreed enterprise architecture, define and design technology solutions around Workforce Management Solution to assist the business in achieving their business objectives.
- Develop, test and implement technology solutions and report on delivery commitments to ensure solutions are implemented as expected and to agreed timeframes.
- Working in close collaboration with the Project Manager, identify system, infrastructure and project interdependencies and balance competing demands to ensure project deliverables are achieved

Key Success Criteria and Measures

- Deliver each individual migration within agreed budget, schedule and quality criteria
- Provide excellent customer service to local terminals as measured by regular structured feedback from local leadership

Qualification, Skills and Experience

- 5+ years in the marine terminal technology industry well regarded but not critical, with core experience with IT systems architecture preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise and knowledge of IT Operations processes with a minimum of 5+ years' experience
- Knowledge of Hosted SaaS systems and solutions architecture design. Knowledge of SaaS hosted systems in private and public cloud. Microsoft Azure knowledge.
- Strong project management experience in the field of IT architecture systems and design with a minimum of 5 prior systems architecture design, migrations or full implementations completed, with any exposure in project management with either advanced learning, PMI or Prince2 exposure well regarded.
- Self-motivated, self-starter with a strong ability to work with minimal supervision and with a strong core ethic of delivering results. Demonstrated ability to work closely with high performance teams with diverse geographic locations and cultural backgrounds.
- Well-organized, timely and persistent possessing empathy, personal tact, cultural understanding and strong communication skills.
- Able to work as part of a cross-functional team to ensure project success in a multi-cultural environment.
- Experience with safeguarding the Enterprise Architecture compliancy of the solution architecture that is delivered.
- Formulating and elaborating on design decisions within the Architectural Advisory Board. Supporting with proposed solution scenarios
- Experience in defining solution architecture in an Enterprise Application Integration environment, with strong emphasis on integration

- Report directly to Director of IT, and the Global WFMS Project Manager
- Geographic scope is global
