Solution Architect

I am recruiting for a contract Solution Architect for a 6 month contact.

You will join a cutting edge communications company with a focus on innovation and development of new technologies and products.

You will be responsible for Requirements Capturing, Architecture and (Customer) Solution definitions related activities; commercial/presales activities and very importantly, be responsible for taking Solutions and systems to the next level.

Key tasks:

The companies solutions portfolio serves a broad range of customized applications, integrations, product customizations ranging from professional equipment for satellite ground stations to consumer terminals and systems for deployment in the broadcast, consumer and business-to-business markets as well as in government and defence markets. The Architecture team is responsible for defining and capturing customer need and following up the solutions needed for the Newtec in these markets.

You will be as part of the Architecture team responsible of the requirements definitions, system specifications and designs and report to the Customer Solutions Director. In this function you will oversee and support the technical choices of the development activities for the solutions.

The main responsibilities are:

*Customer business understanding and Customer Requirements Gathering;
*High level architecture, design and solution definition;
*Commercial/presales responsibilities (quotations);
*Supplier/partner management responsibilities;
*Design work-packages and reporting;
*Establish and manage portfolio of solution components;
*Technical support for development activities;
*Technical follow-up.

Profile:

-Master's degree in ICT, Software and/or Telecom
-At least 3 years of experience in relative domain
-Experience in defining and following up architectures and designs
-Experience on Customer Requirements capturing
-Knowledge of terrestrial communications networks, satellite network knowledge is a plus
-OSS/BSS knowledge is required
-Management systems knowledge is a plus
-Capable of working in a dynamic and changing environment
-Experience on building software
-Thinking out of the box and embracing new technologies to creatively tackle challenges
-Passionate about solutions development

Languages: English mandatory, Dutch/French is a plus
