Solution Architect

We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect for multinational institution in The Hague/Netherlands.

TASKS:

- Acts as the overall architecture lead for a given project, owning the end-to-end definition of the solution for the project across all architecture layers: business, information, application, and infrastructure.
- Structure & complete business demand from an architecture perspective, and translate the demand into a viable, feasible, durable, and compliant solution architecture that can be delivered to budget, on time and to the required quality.
- Responsible for the production of the Solution Architecture Document for the project, integrating all architecture layers.
- Support the project managers/technical project managers in delivering a solution that adhere to the principles, policies, patterns, etc... established in the enterprise architecture.
- Contribute where appropriate to the overall enterprise architecture through the delivery of solutions, solution architectures and models and proposing design patterns, principles, models, requirements, standards and policies to EA and/or security. Provide input to the Project Scope Architecture document.
- Perform Architecture reviews to verify that the solution to the business problem is integral and will deliver the required functional and non-functional requirements in line with stated architecture direction.
- Develop Proofs of Concept as proposals to answer Architecture concerns.
- anage technical design issues and key decisions escalated during project execution and take responsibility for resolving these issues.
- Manage Non-Functional Requirements to support the business requirements and being accountable for the system to comply with those requirements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

-Experience in establishing and working with Enterprise Architecture methodologies, processes and tools
-Experience in designing and formalizing logical and physical solution architectures and using these to guide the implementation
-Working knowledge of modelling techniques/notations (archimate, UML, BPMN, ...)
-Working knowledge of architecture development tools and techniques as well as (system) design methods and tools
-Very good knowledge and experience of architectural design using a services based Approach to solution design Experience of COTS package implementations
-Very good knowledge of the Java stack (including but not limited to J2E, jBoss, Spring, Camel, Groovy, Grails... and .net (including C#, Visual Basic) and Microsoft Office
-Excellent skills in verbal and written English
-Very good time management skills, having the ability to deliver within strict deadlines
-Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
-Good communication and presentation skills, having the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences
