Solution Architect

OUR CLIENT, IT COMPANY PROVIDING INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS IS CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR SOLUTION ARCHITECT TO WORK ON 5 MONTH CONTRACT. IDEALLY NORTH ENGLAND, CLIENT SITE IN DURHAM (TRAVEL ON OCCASION).

Technical lead on all aspects of project(s) concerned, changes/upgrades/expansion of infrastructure with the consequent emphasis on service acceptance (expansion). The solutions in question involve configuring off the shelf applications and system integration. Project - upgrading Windows 2003 to Windows 2008. Technical Management, proposal writing, meetings with the end client & decision making. Looking at applications running and organising upgrades. 100's of Servers and 100+ applications to be managed.

Key requirements:
- Experience as a Solution Architect with Systems Integration
- Infrastructure experience (upgrading Windows 2003 to Windows 2008)
- Loans/Banking or Public Sector background desirable
