Solution Architect

As the Solutions Architect, you will address all layers within the technology stack as well as the design of software and information holdings.

Although you will be a member of the Architecture Team, you will also be expected to work with limited guidance to develop solutions for specific initiatives within a project based environment. You will be expected to develop extensive interpersonal network across relevant agencies and to take the lead when required while developing intra and inter-agency solutions in a highly collaborative manner.

Your daily tasks may include but will not be limited to:

- Eliciting requirements, developing & documenting ICT solution architecture
- Documenting detailed design covering all ICT aspects
- Consulting and advising on architectural concerns
- Enhancing ICT architecture governance
- Contributing to ICT architecture principles
- Developing geoscience-domain focused ICT architecture standards for all aspects of ICT
- Developing and enhancing ICT architecture templates
- Developing ICT architecture roadmaps with a focus on software and information architecture
- Performing assigned roles in ICT governance processes
- Assisting with team management and administration

Your tertiary qualifications in computer science, software engineering or equivalent will be looked upon favourably as well as an exposure to geospatial technologies and standards which have been applied within a Government environment.

This contract position will run to the end of the financial year and will offer you security through the difficult Christmas/New Year period.
