Challenging role with a world leading, household name FMCG company famed for leveraging technology for business advantage. The Solution Architect is responsible for ensuring the long term stability, performance, scalability, maintainability of the key business solutions, ensuring the technical integrity of the solutions, and integrating them in the wider technical landscape. The role includes managing the risks and controlling cost by driving the various vendor developments in the right direction, and works collaboratively with the wider architect community to ensure a consistent and cohesive corporate wide landscape.

You will need a background in large projects in international organizations with a disciplined overview of priorities and technical integrations, supported by hands on experience in Database development, Database performance fine tuning, and Application installation in complex environment. Previous experience of working with on-shore/off-shore teams, and of conducting architectural reviews, promoting best practice will be useful.

Initially until the end of the budget year 2015, there is every possibility of a longer term assignment thereafter - we are able to wait for notice for an exceptional candidate.

Please note we are only able to consider applications from EU or Swiss passport/permit holders for this role. Based in the French speaking part of Switzerland near cheap international travel hubs (and the slopes!), and being paid in the most stable currency (Swiss Francs) in the world, you will be fully assisted for the duration of your assignment (relocation, work permit, insurances, taxation etc) by our Swiss office - real local support on your doorstep!
