SOLUTION ANALYST

Solution Analyst. One of major manufacturing and production clients in Ijmuiden, Netherlands is urgently looking for a Solution Analyst for an 18 month contract. We are looking for candidates who will grow their knowledge and become part of the succession planning for the area. Knowledge of Logistics and or Supply Chain systems and the Steel industry would be an advantage.

THE SOLUTION ANALYST'S RESPONSIBILITIES/CORE TASKS:

- Solution directions, to change applications in line with business requirements.
- Discuss possibilities of proposed changes to fulfil business requirements, together with business analysts, functional domain architects and vendors.
- Assesses the possibilities how to realize the desired functionalities.
- Gains insight in time and costs of application changes and challenges vendors in this.
- § Proposal reviews, to ensure vendor proposals are compliant to business requirements.
- Supplies vendors with necessary information to make a proposal, a.o. for integration with the functional domain architecture.
- Reviews vendor proposals and specifications for application changes, and analyses the impact of changes to other applications.
- Explains needed adjustments in proposals and decides on the approval of proposals.
- Solution approval, to ensure the quality of solutions before implementation.
- Monitors the progress and quality of solutions delivered by vendors.
- Reviews test reports and discuss changes with vendors and the business analysts.
- Approves solutions for implementation in the system landscape and ensures the documentation of changed applications is updated.
- Problem advice, to support vendors solving application issues.
- Gains insight in the identified problem and attempts of vendors to solve the issue.
- Analyses causes of failures and contacts users and architects to find clues.
- Provides information and advice on vendors to solve the issue.
- Functionality improvements, to keep up with new developments.
- Keeps up with changes in business processes, user acceptance, functional domain architecture and application technology.
- Identifies possibilities to improve business processes with application adjustments.
- Analyses opportunities for new solutions enabling business functions

KNOWLEDGE

- Knowledge of IT at bachelors level to analyse and review functional solutions.
- Knowledge of solution architecture, functional design, business process management and IT developments.
- Knowledge of the solution architecture and business processes affected by the designated information systems.
