Solidworks EMC Design Engineer

Mechanical Design Engineer - Contract - South Coast - 6 Months Huxley associates are currently looking for a Electro Mechanical Design Engineer on 6 month contract. Due to increased workload and new projects coming to fruition they require additional assistance in the form of two mechanical design engineers to start immediately. Based in the Research & Development department, this role is a critical link between R&D and Project Delivery, working on a variety of leading edge electro-mechanical enclosures and housing products. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design of electro-mechanical products including high precision electronic enclosures/packaging and mechanical mechanisms Day to Day Duties: * Providing structural calculations * Materials properties comparison and selection * Environment condition testing * Bench trials and functional testing * Formal verification testing and reports It is essential that you possess the following requirements: * A detailed knowledge of electrical/electronic packaging (custom enclosures, housings, cable/connector interfaces) and thermal EMC solutions * Sound mechanical engineering knowledge with concept design and strong analytical skills including a detailed knowledge of stress, friction, tolerance build-up and validation testing. * Concepts general layout drawings details and 3D CAD models. * Solidworks Rate: Market Location: South Coast Duration: 6 Month To find out more about Huxley Associates, please visit www.huxley.com
