Softwaretest Engineer

SUMMARY/SCOPE OF POSITION:

Program, configure and run industrial automation control system components in automation customer configurations for Functional and System Testing of control system components.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Develop and follow detailed Test Specifications.
- Perform integration of test hardware and test software with product under test.
- Develop design documentation and test procedures for the test equipment.
- Execute tests according to Test Specifications and record results.
- Document work, tests, and anomalies according to Test Department standards.
- Good communication skills.

Projects require self-direction and ability to adjust to changes in priority and scope in a dynamic team oriented organization. Environment demands a sense of urgency, customer focus, and process improvement. Projects involve the interaction between departments including Design Engineering, Operations, and Quality.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in electronics or electrical engineering, or computer science
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with ControlLogix system components
- System Integrator experience is an important bonus
- Current experience and fluent with ControlLogix L6x, L7x products and/or CompacLogix Ly controllers
- Current experience and fluent with RSLogix5000 (Studio5000/LogixDesigner) software
- Demonstrated experience writing and configuring ControlLogix applications
- Current experience (Setup, Debug, and use) with Industrial Ethernet Networks using Cisco switching infrastructure a plus
