SOFTWARE TRAINER

DURATION: 3-month contract (W2)

LOCATION: Aurora, CO 80014 - MUST BE ON-SITE

CLIENT: One of the country's largest health care and health plan providers

SIZE OF TEAM: 14

TRAVEL: Will teach courses at two locations in town

JOB DESCRIPTION:

- Develop a comprehensive training program for novice and experienced audiences based on a prior training assessment and recommendations developed
- Development of a training plan, the curriculum and logistics, and the project management courses and materials
- Conduct course presentations as appropriate
- Develop and/or update management plans

TOP DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Conducting classroom training for new hire nurses and providers
- Updating and refining curriculum for courses taught
- Designs and develops curriculum and conducts training programs using adult education strategy and tactics
- Develops and updates tip sheets, job aids and other training materials based on changes to HealthConnect

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, TRAITS:

- BA/BS required (preferably in education, psychology, business, sociology, health care or related field)
- Minimum number of years of experience required: 4 years classroom/corporate training experience
- Experience in teaching/training software
- Group/classroom instruction and classroom management
- Designs, develops, and revises training/education modules, materials including; outlines, scripts, train the trainer guides, web reference tools/courses, job aids and print-based instructional handouts
- Designs and develops curriculum and conducts training programs using adult education strategy and tactics
- Applications training experience
- Strong communication skills; engaging presentation style
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite

- Initiates new training strategies and methodologies for training to increase student's retention
- Able to train in person as well as via web-based medium (eg WebEx)
