Software Testers

A prestigious government department in Canberra requires several Software Testers.

The responsibilities are:
Undertake testing activities to ensure the quality of provisioned environments, IT applications and production system deployments;
Analyse source documentation to derive and create appropriate and effective test cases;
Liaise with business analysts, developers and other staff as appropriate to obtain clarifications in relation to source documentation/requirements;
Execute test cases based on priority and assess the impacts of defects on the progression of testing;
Comprehensively record defects in a defect repository;
Take responsibility for the monitoring and progress of defects raised;
Liaise with developers and other staff to ensure efficient resolution and re-testing of assigned defects;
Work well independently and as part of a team to achieve testing outcomes in accordance with the departments's testing methodologies;
Report to Management on assigned projects or tasks in relation to status and progress of testing assigned;
Work efficiently and effectively as a member of a team, and adapt to the testing requirements of various projects.
Following training and on the job experience, be able to demonstrate an understanding and practical application of the main features of the Pega system;
Demonstrate an understanding of the Agile development methodology and its practical application at the department;
Actively participate in the elaboration, construction, transition and build phases, in an Agile/scrum based development environment;

The contract is for 12 months with further 24 months extension options.

Australian Citizenship is desirable.
