Software Tester/QA Engineer - Geneva, Switzerland
LANGUAGES: ENGLISH only
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum between 5-10 years of relevant experience
- Manual testing: Integration, system, regression and functional testing
- Functional requirements analysis/review
- Tests case/scenario's preparation
- Test design, planning, and reporting
- Test automation
- Understanding of software development life cycle and quality assurance methodologies, best practices and processes
- Experience in the implementation of effective software testing methodologies and tools
- Experience in the following software development languages and tools:
- JAVA
- XML
- JUNIT/JIRA
- CONFLUENCE
DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
- Perform quality assurance and software testing activities for new and existing projects being delivered
- Manual testing of incremental releases and the development of regression test suites for existing critical production systems
- Perform functional testing of the eDossier application incremental release: 3.0.35
- Build regression test suites for interfacing sub-systems: IB Importer, Bibloader, eSearchCopy, Patentscope XML transfer
- Automation of regression tests where appropriate
- Review business requirements and transform into test scenarios/cases
- Build regression test cases for manual testing
- Assist users with acceptance testing
- Perform functional testing
- Test automation: build test harness for selected applications/batch processes
- Make recommendations for test process optimization and assist in the implementation of improvements
- Deliverable testing artifacts include: documented test cases, test data preparation scripts, test results, defect analysis reporting and defect reports recorded in JIRA
