Membership Systems & Contact Centers (MSCC) Testing team within the Health Plan Portfolio achieves another remarkable benchmark in IT systems delivery of clinical, insurance, financial and administrative information. It's all part of an immense and ongoing migration to a national IT system to better serve our millions of members throughout the country with quality health care. The MSCC Testing group provides quality assurance and testing services to the Membership Systems and Contact Centers local, national investment projects in California/most Regions outside California (ROC) and in so doing is a critical component in the development of quality systems for the organization.

The MSCC sub portfolio seeks a Highly Skilled Tester for its Medicare Business Engine (MBE) Workflow Integration Testing (WIT) team. The Highly Skilled Tester will be responsible for reviewing the Project Documents and come up with Detailed Test Cases. Should adapt to working in a challenging environment. The Highly Skilled Tester will work extensively with the Test Lead to provide test estimates. The position requires 6-10 years of testing experience in a Windows/Mainframe and Web, Client Server environment. Required Experience with Mainframe/Cobol, XML, and SOA. In addition, the position requires a solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle, QA theory and practice, system architecture (Mainframe, web and enterprise), databases, Middleware and EDI. Experience with Membership Systems in a health care Domain and clinical applications is very desirable along with excellent communication (written, verbal), technical/analytic acumen, and project/defect/time management.

This individual will report to the MS& CC CM Testing Manager and will take on the following responsibilities:
Review the requirements and other Project documents.
Write detailed Test Cases based on requirements.
Follows directions in the proper execution of the Test Cases.
Work very closely with the Test Lead towards implementation of the Test Cycles.
Work closely with other Support Groups towards the successful execution of Test Cases.
Identify risks and provide recommendations to the Test Lead.
Proactive to take up additional tasks if needed.
Build and maintain successful working relationships with the Team members and also other support groups.
Upfront Identification of all the Testing Pre requisites.
Follow CDP phases as to the quality management

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 6 years experience in Quality Assurance/Testing procedures.
Minimum of 3 years testing experience of various technology platforms, which includes Mainframe/Cobol.
Minimum of 5 years experience in providing Testing estimates.
Minimum of 5 years experience Writing Test Plans and Detailed Test Cases.
Minimum of 5 years experience in detailed Test Documentation.
Minimum of 5 years experience in the Defect management Process.
Minimum of 5 years experience in Detail analysis of Requirements and creating Traceability Matrix.
Must be able to coordinate with various other Application Teams and possibly Third Party Vendors.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science/Business or equivalent related experience. Associates Degree is the minimum requirement.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must have excellent knowledge of quality assurance procedure, testing methodologies and development life cycle experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Well organized with a positive attitude, and ability to work and communicate with all levels of management including external partners such as Vendors, System Integrators etc
Experience in the Healthcare industry/domain
Experience of Testing & Automation Tools such as HP Quality Center, Rational, QTP, Win Runner etc.
