Software Test Technician Job

Yoh has a contract position for a SOFTWARE TEST TECHNICIAN to join our client in Beaverton, OR.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- The Software Technician responsible for performing Automation, Stress and Load tests on different platforms.
- Engage with the Engineering teams in testing software updates, and test cases execution.
- Manage and optimize the test application to be tested under a user environment infrastructure.
- Recommending new test cases and maintains/automates test procedures to properly validate system under test.
- Respond to all system problems, with emphasis on how to duplicate problem encountered during testing.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- ONE TO TWO (1-2) YEARS OF EXPERIENCE WITH SOFTWARE ENGINEERING
- TWO (2) PLUS YEARS AS A SOFTWARE VALIDATION TECHNICIAN OR SIMILAR ROLE USING PYTHON OR PERL
- Familiar w/Drivers and FW features and update/flashing process
- Able to execute a schedule driven, pre-defined test plan
- Experience at debugging issues found
- Ability to submit issues found into a defect database with clear description and steps to reproduce
- Good communication skills, works well in a team environment, etc.

PREFERRED JOB SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:

- HSD bug tracking.
- Subversion SVN.
- SQL
- C development.
- Test development.
