Software Test Engineer (SDET) - Game Experience Job

SENIOR SOFTWARE TEST ENGINEER needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Redmond, WA.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Software test experience.
- Test lead experience.
- Embedded on AAA game development teams
- 3ds max/Maya/Blender
- UVs, Textures, Materials, Shaders, Meshes, and Vertices

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Help establish testing processes of art content within proprietary toolset, debugging content failures and analysing content performance
- Work directly with the art team and test team to establish new processes for expedited testing and validation of content within proprietary toolset

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Four (4+) years of software test experience.
- Two (2+) years of software test lead experience.
- Two (2+) years of experience Embedded on AAA game development teams
- Strong technical understanding of content pipelines and 3D DCC toolsets (3ds max/Maya/Blender)
- Strong understanding of art terminology (UVs, Textures, Materials, Shaders, Meshes, Vertices, etc)
- Previous experience with source control & bug tracking solutions (JIRA, DevTrack, TFS, Perforce)
- Previous experience authoring test documentation (training/specs/plans/cases)
- Have the ability to own a test process from inception to execution.
- Have the ability to multitask, prioritize work and excel independently in a multi-discipline development environment.

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Working knowledge of MAXScript/C# is a big plus.
- Experience with Unreal Engine 3/CryEngine/Unity is a big plus.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Game Art is a plus.
- Working knowledge of Python/PowerShell is a plus.
- Advance knowledge of source control software.
- Knowledge of build pipelines, build systems and automation workflow.
