Software Test Engineer (Bluetooth)

We are urgently looking for an experienced Testing Engineer with specific knowledge & relevant experience in:
- Linux (Kernel level)
- C programming/debugging/validation
- Bluetooth standards, traffic tracing (TMC & TPEG)
- Hands-on and strong experience in software testing
Responsibilities:
The Test Engineer will contribute to the development of a software platform, which enables to get Internet into the vehicle (automotive sector) by means of using the smart phone as a hotspot/Router to the 3G or 4G network.
The final purpose is to render a browser on the board computer, with same functionalities and especially same stability as a home based PC or tablet/smart phone.
The focus of this job will be to track, trace and analyze the traffic behavior between the "hotspot" (smart device) and the car board computer.
That communication is done over Bluetooth. A strong knowledge of Bluetooth is therefore mandatory and crucial for this assignment.
The testing is mainly done "in vehicle" (whilst driving around). The test Engineer should preferably be able to test, troubleshoot, document the problems and possibly dig into the code as to debug/fix the issues encountered.
Profile:
Education: Bachelor or Master Degree in Electronics, Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline
Experience: Relevant experience in:
- Software Testing (several years of experience is a must)
- Linux environment (OS + Kernel level) (understanding is required)
- C (Very nice to have)
- Bluetooth standards (=MUST)
- TMC & TPEG standards (= MUST)
Technical & communication skills:
- Able to work both autonomously
- Result oriented & critical
- Eye for detail and precision (quality of the work, thorough verification & validation of own work).
- Language: fluency in English is mandatory (both written & spoken)
