SOFTWARE TEST ENGINEER 2 REDMOND, WA 6 MONTH CONTRACT, EXTENSION POSSIBLE

Our client is the world's leading software enterprise seeking a Tester for an internal Business Intelligence team that provides BI to various business groups. They are processing terabytes of data and growing. The Tester will open websites, making sure pages are rendering as well as other, mostly manual UI validation tasks. S/He will also generate emails and notes about the results and follow up on bugs to make sure issues are being addressed. Candidate will be expected to attend daily stand up meetings (SCRUM) and report at weekly.

GENERAL FUNCTIONS:

Writes test cases, and may run and/or write test automation scripts. Performs detailed analysis of test results and adjusts test cases accordingly. Provides some bug prevention or proactive testing through product specification reviews. Works with developers and/or program managers to troubleshoot failures or triage to the appropriate level.

REQUIREMENTS:

- At least 2 years of experience in UI testing, industry experience
- Must know about websites, SharePoint, PowerPivot, from a UI standpoint
- Great communication skills because the team is very interactive and must be able to communicate issues clearly
- Must be capable of filling a highly visible role
