Software Test Engineer

Our client is the most popular computer components company on the globe seeking a strong SOFTWARE TEST/DEBUG ENGINEER for a premium contract opportunity.

JOB DUTIES:

- Test and load software/firmware on multiple hardware platforms (boards, systems etc.).
- Review, track, document and summarize test results.
- Interact with software and firmware engineers, manufacturing teams, system engineering, for a high degree of collaboration and leverage in all phases of the software/firmware design process.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- 4 years' experience in debugging/testing software components of consumer electronics finished products
- 4 years' experience of modern PC architecture and usage models including processors, boot firmware, and common system busses including PCI-Express, memory, SATA, USB, HDMI and others
- 2 years' experience working in an Embedded Linux environment and familiarity with software development and build processes
- 2 years' experience in development and scale of automated test methodologies
- 2 years' experience with hardware system assembly
- Strong attention to technical detail, data analysis to drive decisions and problem solving skills Excellent interpersonal and debug problem solving skills coupled with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team
- Experience with wireless devices, performance, use case and interoperability testing preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field

This is a 6 month contract position.
