Software Test Engineer

Our client is the leading computer components manufacturer seeking a Software Test Engineer to setup Linux Openstack swift test environment for evaluating different system analytics algorithms as part of proof of concept work.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Linux server/cluster installation and setup
- Install Linux cluster
- Install Open Stack Swift Testing
- Run a standard cloud benchmark (eg, cosbench)
- Run a custom benchmark. Will require Scripting expertise (bash, Perl, python, and make Data collection/Analysis)
- Re-run benchmarks from base case data collection phase
- Iterate with algorithms team to fine tune the load-balancing algorithms

REQUIREMENTS

- Linux experience
- Linux debugging tools
- Shell Scripting
- Perl

NICE TO HAVE

- Lab experience (Formal testing environment -enterprise level testing)
- LabView
