Software Test Engineer

OUR CLIENT IS A VERY HIGH-VISIBILITY COMPUTER MANUFACTURING COMPANY SEEKING A QUALIFIED STE TO WORK WITH CUSTOMER-FACING ENGINEERS TO REPRODUCE FIELD PROBLEMS SO THAT THE DEVELOPMENT AND QA TEAMS CAN GET THEM RESOLVED.

OVERVIEW:

- Identify and communicate problem workarounds.
- Answer questions from customers and prospective customers about the features and capabilities of the software.
- Communicate customer requirements to development team.
- Review requirements, specifications, SDK, user interface documentations and other project documentation.
- Use risk-driven techniques to develop, maintain and execute manual and automated test suites.
- Execute manual and automated test cases.
- Communicate testing activities and findings in oral and written formats.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Minimum of 3 years experience in C#, Java, Objective C, HTML, C/C++
- Good understanding of TCP/IP and 802.11x wireless networking
- Experience in testing mobile devices software a plus
- Experience in HTML 5, Rubidium and/or Monkeyrunner a plus
- Client-facing experience
- Excellent diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication skill including telephone skills
- Ability to take ownership of technical issues and working with our development group to recreate and resolve issues
- Experience documenting, troubleshooting and resolving problems
