Software Test Automation Engineer

We are seeking Software Automation Test Engineer for a 6 month position in Duluth, GA.

Skills:

8+ years of software development experience in Java and Spring.
2+ years of experience with an agile methodology.
Strong computer science fundamentals: OOP, design patters, data structures & algorithms.
Good Experience with Spring Core, Spring MVC, Spring Data(JPA), Spring Integration.
Good experience with Java test frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, Mokito and Selenium.
Strong understanding of NFR considerations when designing systems: performance, responsiveness, concurrency, availability, supportability, security, etc.
Good experience with TDD, BDD or xUnit test patterns.
Comfortable Atlassian SDLC stack: JIRA, Confluence, Fisheye, Crucible.
Comfortable with SCM & CI tools: Subversion, Jenkins, Hudson, Sonar, Nexus, Selenium WebDriver. Strong knowledge, skills, and ability working in a collaborative team environment.

Additional Preferred Qualifications
Good experience with web technologies, web services and frameworks: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Knockout, Modernizr, WebShims, JSON, SOAP, REST.
Good experience with web client test frameworks: QUnit, Angular JS, Jasmine.
Familiarity with IATA common use standards.
Strong Travel domain knowledge particularly in the Airline space.
Travel solution experience (SITA, ARINC, IBM, IER or similar).

Responsibilities:

Review designs with developers and architects in consideration of testability and supportability.
Review code for testability, supportability and look for full unit test coverage.
Review product owner acceptance criteria and look for NFR gaps.
Mentor and support the developers on how to write good unit tests and promote good unit test frameworks.
Build mocks, emulators, fakes, stubs and any other test libraries that will help achieve 100% unit and 100% acceptance test coverage for stories.
Leverage free and commercial test tools without reinventing the wheel: SoapUI, LoadUI, MSTS.
Write component and integration tests to achieve 100% story acceptance test coverage.
Maximize automation: continuously question manual day-to-day scrum team processes and challenge them.
Collaborate with the Software Operations team to maximize our efficient use of the CI and SDLC tools: JIRA, Confluence, Nexus, Sonar, Jenkins/Hudson, HP Quality Center.
Help automate traceability of Stories, Acceptance Criteria and Test cases through the integration of frameworks such as Gherkin/Cucumber and Quality Center.
Automate the collection, aggregation and reporting of dev quality including trends. Metrics to be aggregated from various systems including JIRA, Jenkins/Hudson, Sonar & Nexus.
