The Tech in this position will provide LAN device driver validation for high speed server adapter Ethernet products. Add-in cards, daughter cards, SoC, and switch products; 10G-Base-T, fiber, backplane. Linux, VMware, KVM-virtualization. This person will conduct validation of LAN device driver software for high-speed server adapter Ethernet products. These products include add-in cards, daughter cards, system-on-a-chip (SoC), and switch products. The network media include 10GBase-T, fiber optic, backplane, direct attach, and others. Operating systems used for validation include Linux, VMware, KVM-virtualization. Candidates must be familiar with the advanced network administration of one or more of these operating systems, including driver installation and parameter configuration. Validation and/or troubleshooting experience required. Candidate must have troubleshooting skills such as bifurcating patch sets to determine when a defect was introduced.
