Software Solutions Specialist

Responsible for business/system analysis for cross-functional and multi-application projects for several corporate business units. Acts as a liaison between programming development teams and the client (Internal or External) to define detailed specifications that effectively meet client needs and application design goals. Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements. Configures system settings and options; plans and executes unit, integration and acceptance testing; and creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements.

Requires 6-10 years of related work experience and Bachelor's degree, or technical training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Superior communication skills and the ability to work closely with all levels of associates, from tactical to CxOs, are absolutely required. Experience working with global teams on large enterprise projects is also desired. This position reports to the Director of Information Systems responsible for Enterprise/Corporate Applications.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Interviews client/internal users (customers) and develops business requirements for the application that is to be built. Works with customer in determining desired outcomes, status, and approaches.
- Collaborates with programmers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze usability and performance needs.
- Communicates the technical specifications of the application to the user, converting the technical specifications into common business language, understandable by the business user.
- Streamlines internal business processes, identifies areas of opportunity and provides cost-effective solutions that support business processes.
- Conducts user training and user acceptance testing. Serves as a resource for process redesign and development for performance criteria.
- Performs business process analysis to define required project tasks. Reviews business-critical operational requirements for reliability, scalability, flexibility and availability.
- Develops and determines priorities and monitors and reports status of assigned project on a routine basis.
- Presents project plans to the customer. Leads and facilitates meetings and workshops as required.
- Acts as a mentor to more junior staff.

- Oracle Financial suite
- Oracle PeopleSoft suite
- Oracle enterprise data warehouse
- Various reporting systems including MicroStrategy, Cognos, and Business Objects.
- WebMethods
- Salesforce.com
- Product ERP systems (internally developed)
- Various eCommerce and web systems internally developed
