Proteus Europe is searching for a Penetration Testing/software reverse engineering engineer who will join the ethical hacker's team of one of our global prestigious clients.
Our Client:-
Working within this ethical hacking team, you will join a committed group of engineers who take pride in their work and strive to ensure that this company's wide range of software products is able to resist the best efforts of black hat hackers. As you can imagine security is tight and the collected knowledge in the existing team is large, an excellent opportunity to really stretch your penetration skills and of course defences. Our client is quite literally a household name across the Globe.
Your New role:-
Our client has been developing products in the areas of security and DRM for many years. Anti-tampering, anti-debugging, obfuscation and other protection measures are applied to applications running on a Windows PC or consumer devices.
An opening has become available to join the penetration testing team which offers an independent evaluation of the security measures in a product by attacking and reverse engineering the existing protection.
The team is also responsible for organizing the cumulated knowledge about existing hacks and potential vulnerabilities in specific targets. Finally, auxiliary tools will be developed as part of the execution and automation of the attack vectors.
In general, the following activities are expected to be executed by the new team member
- Hands on security testing/reverse engineering (a.k.a. penetration testing)
- Development of helper security verification tools
- Documentation of knowledge and findings in the form of guidelines, checklists and examples to be used by development teams
Your Skills and experience:-
Essential Skills:-
- Experience with reverse engineering tools and techniques,
- Debuggers, decompilers, disassemblers, deobfuscators
- Static and dynamic binary analysis, binary injection
- Packet sniffers
- Excellent analytical skills
- Good C/assembly development skills
- Experience with both Linux and Windows OS
- Good writing skills
- Fluent English
Desirable Skills:-
- Anti-tamper tools and techniques
- Hardware/software attack vectors
- Malware analysis
- Cryptography (RSA, SHA-1, AES, )
- Android development
- Networking protocols
