Roc Search is currently recruiting for a 'Software Quality Engineer' to work for a client of based in Limerick, Ireland.
This is an exciting opportunity to work for a global IT-Outsourcing organization on site with one of their prestigious end clients.
The Role
*The Sr. Software Quality Engineer is accountable for acquiring domain knowledge, collaborating with the cross functional Development Team, and applying testing techniques to build test coverage, prevent defects, and provide value to release to production.
Duties and Responsibilities
*Execute software test strategies/techniques, schedules, and plans.
* Review software requirements and functional descriptions to assess testability and provide feedback to the Development Team.
* Develop and maintain manual and automated test cases that verify product functionality and are traceable to software requirements.
* Setup test environments with required data, software and hardware configurations, and/or software and hardware simulators.
*Execute verification test protocols in formal verification environment per applicable desk procedures.
* Analyze test result data to identify or isolate cause of defects, provide feedback to the Development Team and maintain documentation of test results and defect reports.
Qualifications
* Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
*Works on complex problems where analysis of data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors.
* Determines the means to overcome technical problems.
*Normally receives no instruction on routine work, general instructions on new assignments.
Location: Limerick, Ireland
Rate: 50 USD per hour
Job Type: Contract (12 months)
