Do you have a passion for driving quality, promoting best practices, pushing automation to the next level and delivering strategic solutions to customers? We're seeking a highly motivated, experienced Software Quality Engineer to work on the business-critical systems that support healthcare insurance claims processing. These applications are used by people to streamline the way they submit claims for healthcare insurance - and is the hottest IT area in healthcare insurance reform.

The ideal candidate for this position is results-driven and interested in improving processes, exploring newer test methodologies, shaping test architecture and writing great automation. S/He is passionate about technology and excited to work closely with product owners, scrum masters, technical team members, and other IT teams to define test plans and influence the design/content of release deliverables.

You will further your technical and leadership skills and deliver superior test results via strong test methodology and effective automation. This client strives for continual improvement in test processes and we want your contributions to make this nationally recognized IT team even better.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develop and execute test strategy, test plans and detailed test scripts using sound test design principles that incorporate application architecture and design considerations.
- Make use of the best available testing tools and use technical expertise to identify, adopt and/or develop more effective automation when appropriate.
- Troubleshoot and debug application and automation code to isolate defects and determine root cause.
- Enable the on-time delivery of high-quality, reliable solutions by partnering with a scrum team and being accountable for all assigned tasks.
- Influence the design, code, and architecture of applications by reviewing user stories, acceptance criteria, architecture design, software code and test plans.
- Proactively contribute to the growth of a high-performance QA team by providing critical energy and input into team strategy and priorities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Associates degree in Computer Sciences or related field (an equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience may be considered)
- 3 years' relevant experience in the Healthcare industry and/or Healthcare Insurance/claims industry
- Relevant IT Discipline
- Skill in diagnosing and solving complex problems and providing detailed technical analysis
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficient understanding of agile/scrum processes desired
- Strong experience with common business applications (eg, MS Excel, MS Outlook)
- Strong experience with common software development tools (eg, Rally, GIT, TFS, Visual Studio, Eclipse)
- Strong experience with common test tools (eg, SoapUI, Test Manager)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with Eclipse, GIT, Maven, or SoapUI for software development, version control, build, and testing
- OR similar.NET tools (Visual Studio, TFS, and TFS - Test Manager)
- Experience working with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions for Healthcare
- In-depth understanding of testing/quality management concepts and principles
- Experience working as part of a scrum team

This contract position is expected to be 6 months in duration.
