Our client is the leading computer components brand seeking a Software Quality Analyst, to work on the testing of patent management applications. Individual will be part of cross-site agile based team continuously working on improving and adding functionality to the application suite. S/He will work very closely with Legal customers, technical teams, and other support groups to implement new functionality and resolve issues.

DAILY DUTIES INCLUDE:

- Attending daily standup meetings and providing updates on test progress
- Assisting customers in the development of user acceptance tests
- Ensuring product stories contain accurate and completion of testing related information
- Development, maintenance and tracking integration testing plan
- Organizing and assisting customers in performing integration testing
- Testing application functionality against various business scenarios through manual and automated processes
- Troubleshooting and root cause analysis for code-related issues associated with new builds

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- 5+ years defining measurements to ensure software and data quality and defect reduction over time
- Strong understanding of Agile and Agile testing methodologies
- Usage of Test Automation tools (Visual Studio Coded UI, Telerik Testing Framework, SmartBear TestComplete, HP Quick Test Professional)
- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL and Oracle with the ability to write queries and DML statements
- Knowledge of software development practices and how to capture/explain requirements to developers
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong experience with Functional, Regression and User Acceptance testing
- Ability to understand business situation/needs and conceptualize technical solutions accordingly
- Independent worker who is able to balance planned project work with ad hoc requests from teammates
- Proactive problem solving and skills to identify and suggest areas for continuous process improvement

PREFERRED SKILLS:

- Certified Agile Scrum Master
- Familiarity with Microsoft Silverlight testing and automation tools
- Experience with setting up and testing automated test tools
- Experience with writing and verifying developer unit tests and code coverage
- Familiar with VersionOne or Microsoft Team Foundation Server test management tools
- Previous experience in Legal and/or familiarity with patent prosecution
