BACKGROUND:
My client has an exciting opportunity for a Software Project Manager for a 6 month contract. This role will require travel (2 weeks per month).
COMPANY BACKGROUND:
My client is a global leading mobile specialist for the travel industry.
ABOUT THIS ROLE:
The Software Project Manager will join the on-site Project Management team to manage the delivery of mobile solutions to clients. Acting as a bridge between the customer and the development teams.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- The Project manager will work closely with the development team and the customer, ensuring that stakeholders have updated and accurate analysis and tracking of customer projects.
- Communicate project status regularly to all parties involved (via conference calls, weekly status reports etc.)
- Manage the formal change process
- Provide consultancy and expertise to customers, in relation to best practice and innovation
- Work closely with resources to ensure a defined roadmap which aligns with the customers' business case
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
- Minimum of 6 years' experience in a fast paced, software IT environment
- Agile software environment experience is essential
- Positive communication skill, influencing skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders
- Strong business acumen, ability to articulate key business advantages of my clients products and services to potential customers
- As this role is an External customer facing role, please do not apply if you do not have strong external customer facing experience. This is essential for this role.
