Software Logo Support Engineer

This team of high-calibre engineers in the Developer Support organization supports IHV and OEM customers who are certifying and developing device drivers for the Windows platform. This role is to debug and diagnose the hardest problems across a range of devices and systems to help these customers pass the client's logo requirements. Work with a wide range of development and product teams and use a wide range of tools to solve the issues in a limited time frame based on customers' priorities. The role will also have opportunity for doing driver development in one or more of the following technologies: printing, networking, driver install, storage, display and audio devices. The ability to debug into the Windows Kernel and understand the fundamentals Windows architecture will be leveraged daily.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

- Required: B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Required: Excellent customer service and communication skill
- Required: 2+ years Debugging experience
- Required: 4+ years C/C++ development experience
- Required: Experience building logo test environments, running and troubleshooting logo test results
- Required: Direct experience with the above on either HCK/WLK/DTM
- Highly Valued: Windows Hardware Certification Engineer
- Highly Valued: Knowledge of the certification policies, processes, programs and tools
- Highly Valued: Experience with HCK and HCK test automation
- Valued: Experience with test automation
- Valued: Kernel Mode Debugging of drivers or the Windows Operating System using a Kernel Debugger
- Valued: Driver development experience developing any type of hardware or file system driver
- Valued: WTT experience in developing, testing, running WTT jobs
- Valued: 2+ years User Mode Debugging
- Valued: Knowledge and use Customer Support Services customer relationship management tools and processes
- Valued: Knowledge of Windows Driver Kit (WDK) or Driver Development Kit (DDK)

This contract position is expected to be 10 months in duration.
