For our international end client we are looking for a Software License Coordinator

Start: 29-04-2013
Duration: 12 months
Location: The Hague
Rate: 60/hr

Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Administer software license, maintenance & support renewals and new license purchases including:
a) Ensuring license is within defined scope of software license management
b) Ensuring license, maintenance & support coverage renewals, true ups and true downs are completed according to agreed processes, on time and accurately.
c) Ensuring timely renewal & installation of license keys for end users to access software.
d) Obtaining approvals from budget holder/portfolio manager/application owner for license, maintenance & support renewals & new license purchases.
e) Obtaining quotes for license renewals & purchases from software publisher/vendor
f) Verifying software vendor quotes for license, maintenance & support renewal fees & new license purchases with Contracts & Procurement.
g) Reporting on renewal status, spend and cost savings information

2. Determine license compliance position & coordinate license remediation by:
a) Registering and maintaining accurate license entitlement information in software license registry/tool.
b) Collating software deployment data and reconciling that data against the license entitlement information to determine license compliance position.
c) Developing license gap remediation plan with Portfolio Managers.
d) Engaging stakeholders (eg Portfolio Managers, Contracts & Procurement, Information Risk Management (IRM) for input and sign off on license gap remediation plan (where there's agreement to remediate gaps) and risk acceptance document (where there's a decision not to remediate gaps).
e) Coordinating and where relevant, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to implement license gap remediation plan
f) Assisting in software vendor audit exercises and remediation actions following audits.
g) Assist in ensuring that Information Risk Management controls relating to software license management are Embedded and facilitate successful testing of compliance with such controls.

3. Contribute towards increasing the maturity level of software license management (SLM) processes & tooling and the enterprise by:
a) Contributing subject matter expertise towards the development, implementation & continuous improvement of SLM processes & tooling.
b) Ensuring that SLM processes which are implemented are adhered to by the relevant stakeholders.
c) Advising stakeholders on the applicable SLM processes.
d) Assisting SOM with license budget management.
e) Identifying & executing opportunities for license optimisation and cost savings.
f) Contributing towards the establishment and implementation of software license management processes and tooling on an enterprise level.

4. Act as Software License Focal Point Coordinator on Enterprise Software License Compliance Initiatives where responsibilities include:
In relation to the Enterprise High Priority List (HPL)
a) Collecting all license entitlements and deployment data for the identified contracts on the HPL for the organisation.
b) Representing in the weekly enterprise software license compliance (SLC) meetings and workshops.
In relation to the License Management Forum (LMF)
a) Representing in the LMF by getting business input, verification and approvals for periodic license renewals, true ups/true downs and license upgrades.
b) Coordinating the software license challenge.
c) Collaborating with the LMF and the businesses in onboarding new applications into the Optional and/or Managed Business Applications (MBA) portfolio.

5. Act as Developer PC/Account and application authoriser by:
a) Challenging and validating in order to authorize applications requests in Request Management (RM)
b) Challenging and validating in order to authorize all developers request in RM
c) Maintaining the RM catalogue with regards to identifying applications for the authorization process
d) Advising support teams for all license applications queries/license cost

Technical Skills and Experience:
MANDATORY:
1. In depth knowledge & experience with industry license management processes and tools.
2. Skilled in understanding and advising on software license compliance issues (license rights and restrictions, metrics and entitlements) in software contracts.
3. Understanding of Portfolio function and network of focal points
4. Strong knowledge of Active Directory and software assignment process
5. Good understanding of Request Management processes and tools)
6. Good knowledge of procurement and financial processes and tools.
