Software Engineer Wordpress (m/f/d) in Düsseldorf and Remote

Currently we are searching for one candidate who is able to cover the following position:

Project description:

Developing features within WordPress, which is used by internal customers. Maintaining the codebase for plugins & themes, that cover features within WordPress admin panel font-size:10pt;">Support current dev resources to clean up backlog of requirements asked for by different stakeholders.

Your primary responsibilities:

Implement plugins and themes for WordPress, keeping
-

good coding standards and practices
-

Write clean, easy to read code and reason about code
-

Develop software applications, unit tests, automated functional tests, debug new and/or existing code
-

Prepare trainings and training materials for users of the tools

Your key competencies:

-

Basic knowledge of PHP
-

Basic knowledge of web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery)
-

Knowledge of WordPress architecture and WordPress plugin development
-

Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats
-

Good command of spoken and written English
-

Openness, proactivity, courage, and willingness to learn

Nice to have qualifications:

-

Knowledge of PHP7
-

Basic knowledge of TypeScript, and/or React
-

Knowledge of unit, functional and integration testing
-

Experience in quality assurance testing
-

Knowledge of Domain Driven Design and Design Patterns
-

Knowledge of Docker containers
-

Source version control systems knowledge (e.g. GIT, SVN, Perforce)

Orientation on the product
-

Ability to explain technical problems to non-tech stakeholders if necessary
