Software Engineer Web Services

Our client is the world's favorite interactive media and entertainment company seeking a talented Software Engineer with experience developing high-performance, highly scalable systems to help deliver great web experiences based on hugely popular content and characters.

The focus of this position is maintaining and migrating a set of Legacy family-oriented sites. There may be opportunities to assist with platform development for other sites, specifically on the Drupal platform.

In this role, you will be an integral member of the team and will collaborate on design and implementation of engineering solutions. You will organize engineering tasks and priorities to ensure a high level of service and uptime on the Legacy sites.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 2+ years engineering development experience with a focus on delivering highly scalable and available services and systems
- Demonstrated solid understanding of web-based content management systems
- Experience with coding in JavaServerPages (JSP) a must
- Experience with Scripting languages and SQL (eg PHP, JavaScript, HTML, MySQL) as well as web service platforms a plus
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies (eg SCRUM)
- Familiarity with source control software is preferred (eg github, CVS, SVN, Perforce)
- Familiarity with Atlassian products is an asset
- Experience developing with the Drupal CMS platform a plus
