Projektbeschreibung

The Experimental Medicine Division is hosting an ambitious programme of research and development in clinical research informatics. The programme is a collaboration between the Oxford Biomedical Research Centre and the University's Department of Computer Science, and is funded by the National Institute for Health Research.

We are seeking a Software Engineer to provide new informatics infrastructure for translational research and service improvement, from data warehouses to mobile applications, in areas such as molecular diagnostics, infectious disease control, and cognitive health. This will form part of the UK health informatics landscape in which new and existing data streams are integrated for healthcare benefit.

As our Software Engineer, the successful applicants will play key roles in the programme, taking responsibility for the design and implementation of an architecture for data acquisition, integration, and analysis across a wide range of clinical systems and settings. Working with colleagues in the University-Hospital partnership, our Software Engineer will have the satisfaction of seeing their software in use, supporting cutting-edge research.

For the role of Software Engineer, you must have degree in a relevant scientific discipline, such as computing, in addition to expertise in data modelling (Java, C#, XML, SQL, or UML) and web services development.

There are two positions available and these appointments will be available up until 31 March 2016 in the first instance.

You will be required to upload a CV and a supporting statement as part of your online application.

The closing date for applications is midday on Monday 30 March 2015.
