Software Engineer - Test Automation Job

SOFTWARE ENGINEER - TEST AUTOMATION is needed for a LONG TERM CONTRACT opportunity for Yoh's client near HUDSON, MA.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- 3+ Yrs Python exp
- 3+ Yrs Java exp
- 5+ years Software Test experience

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Software Test Automation Engineer will be designing & developing test software to verify specialized Firm Ware features.
- Software Test Automation Engineer will also maintain and add to existing automation framework. Software Test Automation Engineer will also be responsible for continued evaluation of test cases for inclusion in regression, automation for newly integrated features, and development of toolsets required for testing.
- Software Test Automation Engineer will focus on design, implement and execute both automated and manual tests but the focus is on writing automated tests.
- Software Test Automation Engineer will work closely with FW Development teams and other Test Developers as well as identify and perform failure analysis on Firmware defects employing defect reporting mechanisms and tools.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- MINIMUM of 3+ years of experience with Python & Java.
- MINIMUM of 3+ years of experience as software engineer or test engineer.
- Basic understanding of FW features.
- Hands on experience and understanding of different Operating Systems (Windows, Linux).
- Broad competencies within automated testing tools, techniques, bug/defect reporting tools, coding languages, and methodologies.

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- C++, PHP and SQL is a plus
- Flash memory testing experience is plus.
- Knowledge of NAND memory management techniques is a plus.
- Working knowledge of SAS, SCSI, PCIe protocols is plus.
