Duration: 6 months +

During the development of the printer controller, the quality of the complete system is an important aspect. To be able to monitor and keep the quality at a desired level tests are executed manually as well as automatically. For the controller a framework is developed and maintained to be able to run and execute automatic tests on a controller system level.

The Test Automation Team is a team of 5 people who are responsible for the development and maintenance of the test framework.

Position's main tasks:

The automatic testing framework roughly contains of two parts:

- A Front End which enables writing test cases in a keyword-based domain specific language which is translated into calls and checks on the controller.
- A Back End infrastructure which ensures autonomous execution of the test cases after each build of the software, and reporting of the test results.

This job mainly focuses on work within the Front End, which includes:

- Extending Front End of the framework to be able to keep track of (new) functionality development within the controller, eg extending the domain specific language.
- Maintaining the Front End of the framework to keep it fit for the needs of the test case developers and the changes within the controller.
- Support test case developers with test case development and analysis of test case failures.

Required area of education:

Informatics, Computer science, SW engineering

Professional skills:

- SW engineer role
- Experience with C# and Python
- Affinity with testing and a testers mindset
