Software Engineer - Sharepoint

Link Technologies is currently recruiting for Software Engineering Specialists, Levels I, II, and III. This is a contract opportunity for an established client in the Las Vegas, NV area.

Job Duties:

- SharePoint/.NET developer with hands-on expertise building and supporting large scale internal and external SharePoint sites.
- Develop, improve, and maintain SharePoint 2010 websites and related .NET applications.
- Solid experience developing web applications using .NET and SharePoint 2010 technologies.
- Conversion to .NET of Legacy Cold Fusion applications.
- Consult with internal and external users to define solutions and document requirements.
- Help define best practices and coding standards for SharePoint development and help define, develop and deploy an enterprise search platform for the company.
- Serve as a SharePoint and .NET Subject Matter Expert in the mentoring of other development staff.

Experience and Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or engineering.
- Or equivalent education and experience plus additional years working in an IT environment, which includes at least three years' of programming or systems analysis experience:
- Level I, 6 years
- Level II, 8 years
- Level III, 10 years
- Working knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle and/or Software Engineering Methodologies.
- Strong SharePoint 2007/2010 and ASP.NET using C# and JAVA.
- Strong analytical, testing and debugging skills.
- Must have experience using Visual Studio to develop custom SharePoint web parts, features.
- Experience with .NET MVC a plus.
- Knowledge of SharePoint Search and/or FAST Search, SharePoint Designer, InfoPath, Workflow and Content Types, and SQL Server 2008 is desirable.
- Professional-level written and verbal communications skills as well as technical presentation skills.

Note: One year experience shall substitute for one year of education.  Any experience utilized to fulfil education requirements cannot count towards the position's required number of years of experience.
