CONTRACT - 6 MONTHS + EXTENSIONS POSSIBLE

DATA Inc Switzerland is looking for an Oracle Software Engineer with Financial Services sector experience primarily for a client project based in Zurich.  The role focuses on contributing to the design and implementation of archiving solutions for communication data as well as the respective maintenance and 3rd level support.

Responsibilities include:

- Liaison with Business Analysts to contribute to requirements engineering process and respective reviews
- Work in close cooperation with IT Architecture and IT Security to agree on the design of any major change planned aligned with the solution's strategy and architectural principles
- Conduct effort estimates for the project's engineering and integration tasks as well as for the anticipated 3rd level support
- Liaise with IT Production to agree on technical documentation to be delivered and other operational requirements to be met
- Liaise with Project Manager to plan all engineering quality assurance measures such as design and code reviews, review of IT specification and other technical documentation
- Ensure 3rd level support for the applications in scope.

REQUIREMENTS

- Must be able to understand client partners' requirements and quickly resolve any potential issue in the productive environment, so should be able to communicate in both English and German.
- e2e software development life cycle with focus on the integration of 3rd party components
- incident management, problem analysis in a COMPLEX ENVIRONMENT with remote, multi-tiered installations
- SQL, PL/SQL, XML, Perl, Shell Scripting, packaging, configuration management
- ORACLE PRODUCT EXPERTISE, RDBMS MODELLING AND DEVELOPMENT
- Data management and migration
- UNIX (Solaris, Linux) experience as a Developer is essential
- experience as a systems engineer preferred
- Storage and archiving solutions, product knowledge of OpenText (LEA, CM) would be an advantage
- IT Security (authentication, authorization, cryptography, certificate management, etc.)
