Software Engineer - Mobility

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a SOFTWARE ENGINEER (MOBILITY/SECURITY) to support our client in St. Louis, MO.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- The analysis, design, development and delivery of software solutions.
- Define requirements for new applications and customization adhering to client's standards, processes and best practices. Architect and oversee the development and testing of security solutions.
- Plan, design and develop technical solutions and alternatives to meet business requirements.
- Lead day to day system development and maintenance activities of the team.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- At least five (5) years of demonstrable software development excellence
- Quick starter, able to work at a fast pace with minimal direction
- Mobile (iOS, Android) development.
- Strong understanding of Object Oriented Design
- RESTful web services and API development
- Agile/Scrum development methodology
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience identifying, profiling, and remediating performance bottlenecks.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills.

PREFERRED JOB SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:

- Node.js
- C++
- Experience with highly-available and highly-scalable messaging platforms.
- NoSQL data storage
- A good understanding of security and/or cryptography is a plus
- Contributions to an open source project.
