Software Engineer Linux C C++

Our client is the leading computer components brands seeking an expert Software Engineer to be the local time contact for technical questions from a specific design team. The candidate will work with business unit contacts to load and test the software stack on client reference designs. In addition, s/he will assist the design team with software coding.

Must have Senior Level experience.

NECESSARY SKILLS:

- Linux OS
- C/C++
- Experience with Open Source environment (gStreamer, UPnP/DLNA stacks)
- HTML5 (Browser) technologies (HTML5 RUI)
- Deep understanding of HTTP 1.1, HTTPS, TLS protocols (authentication, media content transport)

DESIRED SKILLS:

- Application Middleware development (UPnP/DLNA enabling/component technologies for CVP-2 functionality - eg Diagnostics, Low Power, Trick Modes)
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with external companies
- Not just POC, but able to take reference implementation through certification work with 3rd party conformance test tools (UPnP, DLNA)
- Experience with UPnP/DLNA or other AV networked application implementations
- Good communication skills
- Project management skills

Estimated length of assignment: 6months + with approval quarterly
Number of positions available: 1
Estimated hours per week: 40 standard hours: 8:00AM - 5:00PM
Overtime not permitted without preapproval
% of travel required: 10% - mostly to Louisville, also CO sites - potential for international
