Software Engineer Job

SOFTWARE ENGINEER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in DEER PARK, IL.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Embedded software development (telematics projects)
- Integration testing and design updates
- Requirements development

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Understand the requirements, system and software architecture
- Create the software detailed design and software units (eg, code generation, manual coding)
- Knowledge of requirements traceability to code, design and test
- Perform reviews of all created work products
- Create and review the unit test specification based on the detailed design
- Document test results and test conditions (eg build number, used simulators)
- Deliver tested working products (including documentation)
- Follow the rules of the configuration and CR/PR management plans of the project
- Regularly inform the software project leader about the status of his/her work product
- Co-operate in planning and tracking of allocated activities
- Support the software architect in interface definition to other software components and hardware interfaces
- Participate in software architecture and design reviews
- Participate in code reviews of other developers
- Participate in the analysis of problems, risks and management of resolutions
- Support integration, verification, qualification and validation of the related product
- Support creation and maintenance of the software project schedule (incl. estimation of effort of work packages)

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar discipline
- 5 years experience Embedded software development for a Telematics project
- Experience in unit and integration testing
