SOFTWARE ENGINEER to work in an Embedded systems environment needed for a CONTRACT job opportunity with Yoh's client located in San Jose, CA.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- RTOS platform software development
- Networking protocols, such as TCP/IP
- Mulit-Threading, Multi-Core programming in Linux environment
- Scripting such as python or Perl

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- The engineer will design and build software for a next-generation, high-density, high availability Cable platform that supports advanced Video, Internet data and voice applications.
- The engineer will have opportunities to contribute in various technology areas including Platform Software, Linux-based Software Infrastructure, Multi-core processor, and High Availability.
- Design and develop platform and infrastructure software for a chassis-based systems
- Write software design specifications with system architecture view and Object Oriented methods.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Five (5) plus years of experience in RTOS platform software development
- Knowledge with networking protocols, such as TCP/IP
- Five (5) plus years in Mulit-Threading, Multi-Core programming in Linux environment
- ClearCase
- Perl/Python
