Software Engineer (Java) - DV Cleared

We currently have a requirement for a Software Engineer to work on an exciting new 3 month contract with our leading blue chip client. The role is based in the Gloucestershire area. Our client is willing to pay up to 450 - 550 per day for this role. Applicants are required to hold a current DV clearance.

Role Description

The role holder will be required to join a team delivering an enterprise Java software system, interacting with a number of external systems and also providing a rich Internet application style web user interface. The role will include working with the existing team members and contributing to all phases of the software development lifecycle from receipt of requirements through to delivery of documented, working software.

* Experience with Oracle RDB
Objectives

The role holder may also be required to contribute to on-going tasks to deliver a Java Swing desktop client application, and to the overall definition of the infrastructure and networks within which the software systems will be deployed.

* Java (1.6), Jboss (5.1), EJB (3), JMS, JPA, GWT, JavaScript
* Agile software development, Object Oriented Analysis & Design, Design Patterns, UML
Desirable

* HornetQ, Jquery, Maven, Rational Team Concert, Linux, Oracle RDBMS
* User Experience, Configuration Management, Customer Engagement
