Software Engineer Java and IBM Websphere Portal

For our client, a dynamic and multinational company, located in Basel, we are looking for a motivated and ambitious:

SOFTWARE ENGINEER JAVA AND IBM WEBSPHERE PORTAL

TASKS:

- Contribute to the portal performance analysis and tuning and product definition
- Develop software in JAVA/J2EE
- Utilizes software engineering tools such as developers environments, build processes and debuggers in the software development process
- Creates and executes designs for new functionalities as part of a software project
- Collaborates and adds value through participation in peer code reviews, providing comments and suggestions
- Provides reliable solutions to a variety of problems using sound problem solving techniques
- Performs technical root cause analysis and outlines corrective action for given problems
- Estimate level of effort, evaluate new options of similar technology, offer suggestions to improve processes, and provide comments on design aspects
- Responsible together with the development team members for the development planning, the progress and the quality of the delivery

REQUIREMENTS:

- 2-3 years of experience with IBM WebSphere Portal Developer is a must (with good knowledge of Portal 8.5)
- 2-3 years of experience with Java/J2EE
- Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
- Modern Front End development techniques (nodejs, npm, )
- AJAX, JQuery, other client-side frameworks
- Good knowledge of at least one RDBMS (IBM Informix and DB2 preferred)
- IBM WebSphere Application Server, HTTP server
- working knowledge of at least one of ticketing and/or ALM systems (jira preferred)
- working knowledge of at least one of source code versioning systems (git preferred)
- Fluent English is a must
