Software Engineer (Java)

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a MID-SENIOR LEVEL SOFTWARE SUPPORT ENGINEER to join our client located in San Ramon, CA.

JOB OVERVIEW:

Our client is looking for talented people to provide triage and support as we develop and grow. As the Mid-Senior Level Engineer, you'll embed directly with our engineering team and act as the "front line" to answer questions and help business solution teams solve issues, while learning and contributing to the platform itself.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

- Development on the in-house Solutions Platform system.
- Spearheading the rollout into full production and provide ongoing support to our internal customers and their partners.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer engineering, or related field from an accredited institute.
- Three (3) plus years of Java development experience with Spring, 5/6, J2EE, JPA, JTA, JMS.
- Three (3) plus years experience developing or supporting Java based applications on Windows and Linux.
- Two (2) plus years experience supporting production environments in a large-scale enterprise.
- Experience and expertise in delivering high quality code though Agile, test driven practices.
- Demonstrated problem solving and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong customer focus and listening skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Ability to work on a flexible schedule (including off hours and on-call).

PREFERRED JOB SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:

- Basic Scripting skills.
- Three (3) plus years working with web services (XML, SOAP, and REST).
- Familiarly with Cloud environments (AWS, OpenStack).
- Background working with ITIL v3, COBIT, or ISO 20K processes.
- Experience with ITSM automation tools (ServiceNow, etc.).
