Software Engineer in Trading Support

Our client based in Houston, TX is looking to fill a position for a Software Engineer in Trading Support. Salary is 70-90K. US citizenship required. No relocation assistance available.

Job Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain proprietary applications and system failures
- Availability to address software problems on a 24/7 basis
- Analyze bandwidth utilization, latency and overall condition of the WAN
- Construct and install monitoring and automation applications

* Applications must support high-frequency, low-latency, real-time trading operation

- Respond to and resolve issues that arise in an on-call support rotation

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related scientific field
- Experience with programming language such as Java, Python or C#/C++
- Proven experience developing software methodologies and strong grasp of object oriented design
- Personal drive to learn new skills and technologies
- Confident using Windows OS and/or Linux
- Capable to work successfully in a fast-paced environment while fulfilling time constraints
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
